We now spend up to 90% of our time indoors.

WELLβ„’ design is a growing movement that focuses on creating buildings and communities that better support our health and wellbeing.

β€œThe places we spend the most time should enhance and improve our quality of life, be attuned to our sensory needs and prioritise support for the mind, body and soul.β€œ

- Catherine Borse

I'm an Interior Designer specialising in Design for Sustainable Wellbeing and I live in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

I'm passionate about creating healthy and sustainable spaces and places. I use the principles of the WELLβ„’ Building Standard to support the physical, emotional and spiritual balance of the people I work with, enabling their buildings and communities to thrive.

I believe that feeling connected to nature is essential to our daily lives and that by bringing natural materials to our interior spaces we can create calm, connected and relaxing environments that inspire and nurture.

Designing with a light impact on the natural world is very important to me and sustainability is a key part of my work.

I also love to share my knowledge of WELLβ„’ design and experience of working on international design projects through workshops and events, helping people improve wellbeing in their own homes.

I am a certified WELL AP, awarded by The International WELL Building Institute, which means I can guide projects to WELLβ„’ accreditation.

I have a Professional Diploma in Interior design and a degree in Anthropology. This helps me understand how people interact with their surroundings through design and creativity, leading to genuinely people-centred spaces.
